Services Offered WISE/Santa Monica Dial-A-Ride Riders can use the service for any transportation purpose, including medical appointments, shopping trips, and leisure and social activities. Vans operate during daytime hours, seven days a week (Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; Sunday 8:00 a.m. to 1: 00 p.m.). Advance reservations are encouraged and all trips are scheduled on a first-call, first-served basis. One-way fare for clients and a friend is $0.50 each and an additional $0.25 is charged if a personal attemdamt accompanies the client. WISE/Santa Monica Dial-A-Ride Class Schedule-2006 AARP Driver Safety This AARP program, sponsored by WISE Transportation, is held at the Ken Edwardıs Center, 1527 4th Street, in Santa Monica. This is a refresher course that covers age-related physical changes, declining perceptual skills, rules of the road, local driving problems and license renewal requirements. The cost is $10.00. AARP Driver Safety Class Schedule-2006 Driving Simulator The Mobile Driving Simulator Program is a new education program provided by WISE Senior Service' s Transportation & Mobility services in collaboration with the Santa Monica Police's Community Relations Division. The program goal is to provide a simple and comfortable setting whereby persons may test their individual driving skills in a non-threatening environment. The Simulator is geared to allow the individual visible and immediate feedback to identify and access one's own driving abilities, reactions, reflex times and other characteristics that are key elements for safe driving.
