Sun Oak
Koreatown Center
Mrs. Sun Oak is 77 years old. Married in 1947, she and
her husband, who is now deceased, had 4 children. Mrs.
Sun Oak came to California in 1987, as a number of her
family members were already living here. She currently
lives with one of her daughters. She enjoys listening
to music and painting.
She loves to study English, participate in the
exercise classes and spend time with her friends she
has made at the Center.
Mrs. Sun Oak taught Japanese
at the Korean University for 20 years. She also taught
Japanese to the staff of Korean Air. She believes
that these were some of the happiest times of her
life. Attending WISE Adult Day Support Center daily
is something
Mrs. Sun Oak looks forward
to. She loves to study English, participate in the
exercise classes and spend time with her friends she
has made at the Center.
