Koreatown Center The WISE Adult Day Support Center (ADSC) is the only such program serving Korean seniors in Los Angeles. The Center provides services to Korean seniors who are at-risk because they are socially/culturally isolated, have limited income, and have marginal access to health care. The activities for this program focus on providing opportunities for socialization, improvement of English language skills, mastering good health practices and accessing community resources. Outings contribute to a better understanding of the clients' adopted country. Such outings include visits to places associated with local California history, that typify the natural beauties of the region and that are well known attractions. Programming also includes celebrations to honor the events and customs of the seniors' past, such as Korean New Year and Korean Grandparents Day.
