Through our programs and services, we annually touch the lives of 35,000 seniors. Our broad range of supportive programs for seniors, their families and their caregivers includes:
  • Nursing Home Advocacy — Protecting the quality of life and care of seniors living in long-term care facilities in the City and County of Los Angeles.

  • Care Management — Assisting frail elderly to maintain independence in their own homes.

  • Adult Day Services — Providing recreational, educational and therapeutic activities for frail elderly and Alzheimer's patients and respite for their caregivers.

  • Koreatown Day Center — Providing socialization and introduction to American culture and English instruction for Korean-speaking seniors in downtown Los Angeles.

  • Transportation — Providing transportation options for seniors and disabled adults who reside in the City of Santa Monica.

  • Elder Abuse Prevention Program — Reducing the physical, emotional and financial abuse of the elderly.

  • Senior Volunteer Program — Utilizing the skills and talents of senior volunteers to make a difference in the community.

  • Economic and Consumer Issues - Helping seniors preserve financial security.

Dedicated volunteers help WISE extend its ability to meet clients' needs in a wide variety of ways including: serving as certified Ombudsmen protecting the rights of nursing home residents; handling vital telephone intake in our Care Management program for low income, at-risk elderly; and educating seniors about financial fraud schemes which target the elderly.
